The LNI Schmidlin PermaCal
Calibration Gas Generator allows the preparation of Calibration Gas
Standards at a wide user-definable concentration range.
PermaCal uses an external source of
Ultra Zero Air and gas permeation tubes, combined with mass flow
controllers to produce user-definable gas calibration standards.
A gas permeation tube contains a specific substance in liquid and
vapour phases. The diffusion rate of the vapour phase through
the tube is a function of temperature. By maintaining the tube
at a constant controlled temperature, the gas permeation rate
becomes constant. Using mass flow controllers to generate a
range of dilution flows of Ultra Zero Air, PermaCal can generate
specific concentrations of calibration gas.
